Most of the municipality of Tanum lies to the east of the E6 Highway. This area- Bullaren and the fells of Kynnefjäll- is a different Bohuslän, where nature provides experiences that are very different to pulsating life on the coast or in the city.
Tanumshede is the central town of the municipality of Tanum and offers a wide range of shops and services. The rockcarvings are situated 2 km south of the village.
Fjällbacka is a picturesque village beautifully situated on a strip between rock and sea. It is a very popular summer resort.
A summer paradise, Grebbestad is attracting more and more people. See the guest harbour full of boats and fishermen landing their catch of fish and seafood.
You only have to scratch the surface a little to find that there is more to Hamburgsund than meets the eye. There is quite a lot in fact.
Just north of Rabbalshede village beside the E6, is the Solhems Pottery. One of Sweden´s largest country churches can be found between Rabbalshede and Hamburgsund.
