ECOPARK HALLE- HUNNEBERG

On the plateau of Västra Götaland, you can experience magnificent views and grandiose nature. Internationally, the mountain is known for its elks and the Royal Hunts. The mountain is covered by a webbing of footpaths that lead you through the nature reserve, relics of ancient culture, and exquisite views.

During July and August we offer you the possibility to join an Elk safari. Come along on an exciting elk safari on the plateau of Halle- & Hunneberg, through West Sweden’s most attractive landscapes.

You’ll be informed about the elk and the history of the hunts since 1885. We will scout for elks and other types of game. A tour of the Royal Hunt Museum Älgens Berg and a small snack is included in the price. In July and August, on Mondays and Thursdays between 6.30 p.m. and 10 p.m., the safari bus leaves from the railwaystation. Please book a seat in advance at the Tourist office +46 (0)521-13509

At the museum you will enter the fascinating world of the mountains and you will learn about animals and nature and the rare origination of the plateau mountains. You will experience the human evolution from early Stone Age until today. In the museum’s innovative exhibition you can get familiarized with the elk’s senses by feeding the elk, listening with the elk’s ears and by looking through the elk’s eyes.
