Winter in Ulricehamn

The Ulricehamn Ski Centre is situated in the beautiful countryside to the north of Lake Åsunden.

Ski Center is under constant development. New methods for keeping the slopes in the best possible condition are constantly tried out. A couple of days of temperatures of a few degrees below zero are enough for the hills to be fit for use. The facility is suitable for everyone from 3 to 100 years of age.

Six lifts and six slopes, a separate area for beginners and children.
The centre also features a dedicated snowboarding area with Quarterpipe and Big Jump, as well as a restaurant, heated shelter, barbecue facilities and a kiosk. Skis, snowboardsand helmets can be hired from the newly-opened ski shop.

Ulricehamn’s cross-country skiing track is in equally breathtaking countryside. The elevated position and undulating terrain in combination with the provision of artificial snow means that large numbers of skiers flock to Ulricehamn in winter.

Many come here to prepare for the Vasaloppet ski race, but an equal number of visitors are here simply to enjoy the peaceful winter landscape.

Oscar Svärd, born in Ulricehamnand twice the winner of the Vasaloppet ski race, has clocked up many miles on the golf course and on the well-prepared Lassalyckan cross-country skiing track.

Ulricehamn has more than skiing to offer. You can enjoy ice fishing, skating at the indoor ice rink or on many of the lakes and watercourses in the municipality. Join in the latest craze and hire a pair of long-distance skates for a day – Lake Sämsjön is cleared of snow every day while the ice is safe.
